A man has been released on bail after being questioned about an aggravated burglary in Kibworth Beauchamp.
The 35-year-old from Leicester was arrested by Police after occupants of a house in Church Road were threatened with a knife by a burglar, who forced his way in just before 6pm on Monday.
Officers say the male intruder ordered the two people to hand over personal items, but ran off when one of them forced him out of the front door.
Police are continuing to appeal for information as enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Tom Brenton, from the Complex Investigation Team, said: “While we have arrested one person in connection with this incident – which I hope will provide some reassurance to the local community – our investigation is still in its early stages.
“I would therefore ask anyone who was in Church Road or the surrounding area yesterday evening to come forward.
“Did you see anyone acting in an unusual or suspicious manner? Did you see someone running off?
“I would also like to speak to anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage. Any information you are able to provide could help us.”
