Man identified after Little Bowden assault appeal

A man is set to be interviewed voluntarily by police after contacting officers following an assault on a dog walker in Little Bowden.
Police had released a photograph of a man they wanted to speak to in connection with the incident at Little Bowden Recreation Ground, and the individual has since been identified.
The assault happened on Friday 10 July at around 7.50pm, when the male victim was walking his dog in the recreation ground off Scotland Road.

Police said the man became involved in a verbal altercation with another dog walker before being pushed to the ground and kicked, resulting in a broken rib.
Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed what happened, or anyone with information about the incident, to come forward.
