Man Charged With ‘Cash Trapping’ ATMs In Market Harborough

A man has appeared in court accused of placing devices on ATM machines in Market Harborough town centre to trap money.

Bogdan Gasparov was arrested on Saturday afternoon after police responded to reports of suspicious activity around cash-points outside the Lloyds and Santander banks.

The 44-year-old was subsequently charged with possessing/controlling an article for use in fraud.

Gasparov, of Hardie Road, Dagenham, Essex appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court today.

He entered no plea was remanded in custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court in April.
