Man Bailed After Police Officer Hit By Car

A man has been released on bail after a police officer had a car driven at her in Husbands Bosworth.
The 37-year-old from Wigston was arrested shortly after the incident in the early hours of Friday on was on suspicion of attempted burglary and attempt to cause grievous bodily harm.
The female officer suffered minor injuries after the vehicle clipped her on Bell Lane, throwing her to the ground.
She had been responding to a burglary in progress at a shop on the High Street.
