Man Appears in Court after Drugs Raid

A man has appeared in court charged with a series of drug, weapons and proceeds of crime offences following a police raid in Fleckney.

Officers from Leicestershire Police’s Neighbourhood Proactive Team executed a warrant at an address in Goshawk Close on June 23rd.

Nicholas McManus, 27, of Oadby, appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court charged with 10 offences.

The charges include possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin, being concerned in the supply of those Class A drugs, possessing criminal property, and three counts of possessing bladed weapons in a public place, including a lock knife, a zombie knife and a machete.

Police also allege McManus was found in possession of £9,685 in cash, believed to be criminal property.

No pleas were entered during the hearing.

McManus was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on August 10.

As part of his bail conditions, he must observe an electronically monitored overnight curfew and is banned from entering Market Harborough.
