King Charles III Proclamation Ceremony To Take Place In Market Harborough Today

A special proclamation ceremony will take place in Market Harborough today to formally announce the beginning of the new King’s reign.
It is being held in the Memorial Gardens at 2pm, where the District Council’s Vice Chairman, Cllr Rani Mahal, will read the proclamation to mark King Charles III taking to the throne.
The ancient ceremony is being performed across the country following the death of the Queen and afterwards union flags will be raised back to full-mast.
People are invited to go along to the event, which will also be attended by local dignitaries.

The ceremony will take place in Market Harborough’s Memorial Gardens.
