Kibworth Man ‘Proud’ Of Involvement In Vaccine Trial

A Kibworth man who had been part of a Coronavirus vaccine trial says he feels proud and delighted that tests have shown it is up to 90% effective.

Kevin Feltham was one of just 20 people in the over-70s age group to join the Oxford University and AstraZeneca trial in August.

His contribution was extra vital, as he is an asthmatic and has type-2 diabetes.

Kevin, aged 71, has been having regular blood tests to check his anti-body levels and weekly Covid-19 tests, all of which have come back negative.

He has also experienced no side-effects.

The government’s pre-ordered 100-million doses of the jab from Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

Globally, 700 million should be ready by the end of the first quarter of 2021.
