‘Illegal Immigrant’ Arrested After Walking Into GP Surgery

A suspected illegal immigrant was arrested after walking into a GP surgery in Lutterworth.

Police were called to Lutterworth Medical Centre on Gilmorton Road just before 2pm yesterday,

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Hfm: “A man presented himself to staff and claimed he had entered the country illegally.

“The 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant and referred to Immigration Services for further enquiries.”
