Hundreds Call For Suicide-Prevention Notes To Be Reinstated
Written by HFM News on 10th September 2018
Hundreds of people have signed a petition calling on Highways England to reinstate suicide prevention notes on the A14 bridge at Rothwell.
There has been an angry backlash after the ‘Notes Of Hope’ were removed last week, when they were deemed a distraction to drivers.
Containing helpline numbers and inspirational messages, they were the work of a group of friends, who wanted to do something to try to stop people jumping off the bridge.
Over 700 people have now signed the on-line petition launched over the weekend.
