Calls For Broken Warning Signs To Be Fixed Urgently

Written by on 10th September 2018

Road safety campaigners are urging Highway bosses to repair or replace broken speed-activated warning signs at accident blackspots across the Harborough District.

A number aren’t working – including on the A6 approaching the Kettering Road junction at Clack Hill, on the A6 through Kibworth and the A5199 near Knaptoft.

Leicestershire County Council say many of the signs are more than 10 years old – they’re carrying out a review to see if they are still required before deciding what to do.

Motoring organisation, the AA, are concerned they are not working and are urging them to be repaired or replaced as a matter of urgency.
