Horse Put To Sleep After Collision On A6

A horse had to be put to sleep after it was seriously injured in a collision on the A6 near Market Harborough.

Police were called to reports a car had collided with the animal near the McDonald’s roundabout just after 9.15pm on Saturday.

A vet was then called to the scene.

Officers say no rider was with the horse at the time of the collision and none of the car occupants suffered serious injuries.

The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.
