Harborough’s MP To Fight For More Cash For Police

Written by on 30th August 2018

Harborough’s MP is to fight for more money for Leicestershire Police.

It follows the recent crime spree in Market Harborough, which saw a number of business premises targeted.

Conservative Neil O’Brien wants to see his own government spending less on things like International Aid and more on Law and Order.

He is also lobbying Ministers for tougher sentences for criminals and for more investment in new technologies to assist Police.

The Leicestershire force has had to make savings of nearly £40m since 2009 because of reduced government funding – with the loss of 500 officers.
