Murder Investigation Launched In Market Harborough

Police have launched a murder investigation and arrested a man following the death of a woman in Market Harborough last year.
The 71-year-old is being questioned by detectives on suspicion of murder, after the body of a woman, aged 70, was found in the back garden of her home in Shelland Close on the Ashley Way estate on August 12th 2019.
Paramedics attended, but despite efforts to revive her, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is a large presence at the house today, including forensic teams and a specialist sniffer dog.
Senior Investigating officer Detective Inspector Nicole Main said: “Specialist officers have been deployed to support the family at this time and we are currently not looking for anyone else in connection with the enquiry.”
