Former Pub Being Used ‘Illegally’ As A House
Written by HFM News on 28th August 2018
Council bosses are threatening action against owners of the former Red Lion pub in Great Bowden.
They say the building on the Main Street is being illegally used as a residential dwelling, without planning permission.
The pub has been shut for over 18 months and was registered as an Asset Of Community Value as part of a campaign by villagers to re-open it.
Harborough Council has issued an Enforcement Notice stating using the pub as a house must stop or further action will be taken.
