Flags Fly At Half Mast In Honour Of Sir Captain Tom Moore

The Union Flag is flying at half-mast in Market Harborough today, in honour of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

The Second World War veteran, who raised more than £32m for the NHS during the first lockdown, died yesterday, aged 100.

The Royal British Legion, lowered the flag in the Memorial Gardens this morning and Harborough District Council have done the same, at the top of the Symington Building.

President of the town’s branch of the Legion, John Morley, told Hfm it was important to honour and pay tribute to Captain Sir Tom:
