Firefighters Tackle Major Blaze in Rothwell

Firefighters have been tackling a major fire at a property in Rothwell after flames spread through two upper floors and into the loft.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Horse Fair Lane at around 12.20am this morning (30 July).
Four crews and an aerial appliance initially attended the scene.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used jets to tackle the blaze throughout the night and into this morning.

The fire was brought under control shortly before 8am, with crews continuing to damp down remaining hotspots until around 9.30am.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is taking place today.
All occupants of the property and the neighbouring address had evacuated before firefighters arrived. Two people were left in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.
