Fundraising Walk After Tragic Event Hits Family Business

A Market Harborough firm has raised over £1200 to honour its founder, who was left seriously brain damaged after a sudden heart attack last year.

Staff at the Ideal Marketing Company have marked its 15th birthday by taking part in a 15k walk, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Alastair Campbell was 49 when he suffered a catastrophic cardiac arrest while at work in the office, leaving him in a persistent vegetative state, needing constant care.

Alastair’s wife, Helen, Managing Director of the company, said: “We decided to raise the money in tribute to Alastair’s hard work and vision setting up and running The Ideal Marketing Company for 14 years.

“The British Heart Foundation do some amazing work helping those who suffer from heart and circulatory disease – even the fit and healthy ones like Alastair.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and helped us to raise this significant amount.”
