Emergency repairs are underway to fix a water leak in Market Harborough.

A pipe has burst on Northampton Road at the Caxton Street junction, causing flooding.

The leak is causing flooding in the area

People living in the area are being warned of low water pressure, while Severn Trent Water carry out the repairs.

A Severn Trent spokesperson told HFM: “We’re really sorry for the disruption caused by a burst pipe on Northampton Road.

“While our teams work on fixing the pipe and moving water around the network to keep supplies on for everyone, some people may experience lower than usual water pressure as we work.

“Again, we’re sorry for any inconvenience but we’ll aim to have everything back to normal as quickly as possible.”

Traffic is unable to access Caxton Street while the repairs take place.

There was another leak in the same area in February and last December.
