On-going repairs to a burst main in Market Harborough has led to water supply problems this morning.

Some people have reported having no water at all, while others have extremely low pressure.

Severn Trent Water has apologised for disruption caused by the burst pipe on Northampton Road, at the Caxton Street junction.

Work began yesterday afternoon to fix it and the company says its teams have been working as quickly as possible to get things back to normal.

A Severn Trent spokesperson told HFM: “Following a burst on Northampton Road yesterday, our teams have been working hard and we expect the repair to be completed and all services returned to normal today, with reinstatement of the road surface to follow as soon as possible.

“We’ll get everything back to normal as quickly as we can and would like to apologise for any inconvenience while we complete this essential repair.”

It is the third leak in four months in the same area of Northampton Road.
