Tree Falls Onto Car In Market Harborough Car Park

Emergency services were called after a large tree fell onto a car in a Market Harborough car park this afternoon.

The incident happened in the Commons Car Park just after 3pm, when the large tree toppled from the banks of the River Welland during strong winds.
Luckily no-one was in the vehicle at the time and no pedestrians were hurt.
Police and a fire crew from Market Harborough were called to the scene and cleared branches and debris, to make the area safe.
Workers from Harborough District Council, which owns the car park, also attended to help with the clear-up.
