Drop-in Event at Harborough Museum
Written by HFM on 16th July 2019
The first of two drop-in events – which form part of this month’s
‘Leicestershire & Rutland Festival of Archaeology’ – is taking place
today (Tuesday 16th July) at Harborough Museum.
Between 11 and 3 there’s a chance to chat with Archaeology Manager Helen
Sharp – who’ll be showing visitors some real-life archaeology and
talking about the technology behind it all.
It’ll be followed by a second event at the Symington Building next
Wednesday – where you’ll be able to meet an Iron Age Briton, and have a
go at metal detecting and coin striking!
At both sessions the famous Hallaton Hoard will be available to see in
Harborough Museum’s Treasure Gallery, and admission is FREE.
