A Dispersal Order has been implemented by Harborough Police after serious disorder at Little Bowden Recreation Ground last night.
Youths armed with metal bars were involved in fighting after around a hundred people gathered into the early hours, with weapons found discarded near-by.
Officers say the incident has caused significant upset and fear in the community, in addition to other anti-social behaviour in the park in recent days, including drug-taking and under-age drinking.

The Dispersal Zone area
The dispersal order, in force from 7pm today until 7am on Monday gives Police the power to direct a person to leave the area specified if they have reasonable grounds to suspect that their behaviour has caused, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to members of the public.
Failure to comply can result in arrest.
