The start of major work to extend Market Harborough Medical Centre has been delayed.
It was due to get underway today with restrictions put in place in the car park of the Coventry Road surgery, but is now likely to begin next Monday or the following week.
The staff parking area, which will be closed for the duration of the work, is due to be shut from this weekend.

Six new treatment and consultation rooms will be created at the Coventry Road surgery and the pharmacy and patient services areas will also be refurbished.
The work is set to take around nine-and-a-half months to complete and is being funded by the practice, with a contribution from housing developers.
