Cyclist Injured In Crash In Market Harborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a crash in Market Harborough.

The man was taken to hospital after being involved in collision with a car driver on Great Bowden Road, just after 7.30pm on Friday evening.

The incident happened near the entrance to the railway station, close to the junction with St Mary’s Road and the road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene.

Leicestershire Police say the rider’s injuries are not believed to be serious and a spokesperson told HFM: “Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision remain ongoing.

“If anyone witnessed the incident they are asked to get in touch.”
