Coronavirus ‘Hot-Spot’ Areas Of Harborough District Identified

Six parts of the Harborough District have been identified as ‘hotspot’ areas due to rising cases of Coronavirus.

There have been 11 cases in Fleckney, Foxton and North and South Kilworth in the past two weeks and 8 in Houghton, Thurnby and Scraptoft.

They are among 20 parts of Leicestershire to report more than 7 cases in 14 days and Leicestershire County Council is now looking to identify if more needs to be done to deal with it.

The number of Covid-19 cases across the Harborough District has more than doubled in the last month, although remains significantly lower than other parts of Leicestershire.
