Consultation on Dog Fouling Regulations

Written by on 4th September 2019

People are to be asked if current regulations to deal with irresponsible
dog owners should continue.

Harborough District Council is to run a six-week public consultation on
whether it should renew legislation enabling wardens to issue fines to
people who fail to clear up after their pets, don’t carry poop bags or
fail to put dogs on leads when directed to.

As HFM reported previously, there’ve been 127 complaints about dog
fouling in the District during the past 12 months – the highest number
since records began.
