Car Seized During Road Safety Operation

An uninsured car was seized by police during a road safety operation in Market Harborough.

Officers carried out the ‘Fatal Four’ initiative on Springfield Street, to target offences which are the major causes of serious collisions.

Five drivers were caught using a mobile phone, seven were stopped for not wearing seatbelts, one driver had no tax and another was displaying an illegal number plate.

Police say further such operations are planned for the near future.
