Car Crash Staged Outside Fire Station

A crashed car has been placed outside Kibworth Fire Station as part of a new hard-hitting road safety campaign.

The staged road traffic collision outside the Fleckney Road base aims to promote safe driving habits, following several serious collisions on rural roads in the Harborough area, attended by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.

The display is also raising awareness of the dangers and consequences of the four biggest contributory factors in collisions, known as the ‘fatal four’, which are drink and drugs, mobile phones, speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
