Bid Launched To Re-Instate Bus Service

Written by on 6th July 2018

A bid has been launched to re-instate the only bus linking Market Harborough with villages towards Corby.

The 67 stopped running at the end of May after Northamptonshire County Council stopped subsidising the route.

Now both Kettering and Corby Borough Councils are considering stumping up six thousand pounds so a bus could run twice a week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as a pilot scheme for nine months, serving villages including Wilbarston, Stoke Albany, Ashley, Weston by Welland and Sutton Bassett.
