Appeal After Robbers Steal Apple Tech Worth £5m From Lorry

Robbers who stole Apple electronic products worth £5m from a lorry abandoned the getaway truck in Lutterworth.

A driver and a security guard were tied up during the incident, that began on the sliproad of the M1 at junction 18 near Crick in Northamptonshire, just before 8pm last Tuesday.

The gang loaded the goods, including iPhone 11s, iPads, Air Pods, watches and chargers. into another lorry near-by before driving to Turnpike Close, off Leicester Road in Lutterworth, where its believed they transferred 48 pallets of goods into another vehicle and made their getaway.

Police are appealing for information, including drivers who may have been on the M1 in the area around the time, or noticed anything suspicious in the Turnpike Close area of Lutterworth.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have been offered any Apple products for sale in unusual circumstances, or who knows of anyone who is selling such items at low-cost prices.
