Apartment Plan For Town Centre Set For Go-Ahead

Written by on 2nd February 2021

Plans to build a new apartments in Market Harborough town centre are being recommended for approval.

The scheme will see the demolition of a former vehicle repair centre, at the corner of Abbey Street and Fairfield Road.

It would be replaced with a two-and-a-half storey building, containing nine, one and two-bed apartments.

Harborough District Council planning officers are recommending the plan is approved, despite over 30 objections from members of the public, mainly around the fact no off-street parking is included in the scheme.

Councillors will consider the plan at a virtual meeting of the Planning Committee on Tuesday.
