Stolen Car Fire Spreads To Hay Bales

Seven tonnes of hay bales and hedging were destroyed by fire after a stolen car was driven into a field near Marston Trussell last night and set alight.

Fire crews were called to Theddingworth Road just after 9pm and found the VW Passatt and surrounding area well ablaze.

The occupants of the car fled the scene, the vehicle was left completely burnt out.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

Meanwhile, another car was dumped in the middle of Gaulby Road in Billesdon and set on fire just after midnight.
