Rockingham Road Closure Causes Traffic Chaos
Written by HFM News on 12th November 2018
Drivers are complaining not enough is being done to mitigate the closure of Rockingham Road by the railway bridge.

Long queues on Gores Lane
There were long queues over the weekend on diversion routes and calls are today being made for temporary traffic lights to be placed by the Kettering Road bridge, to ensure traffic can flow more easily in both directions.
With traffic having to go in single file to pass under it, the high volume of vehicles using the road as an alternative route in and out of town has been causing problems.

Some people also say there appeared to be little or no work taking place on the Rockingham Road bridge over the weekend, to their frustration, although Network Rail say it was going on, including overnight.
Leicestershire County Council, responsible for Highways, have yet to comment.
