Plans have been unveiled to open a Mediterranean Restaurant in the former Goodmans electrical building in Market Harborough.
Murat Demirdag, the owner of the Venito Restaurant and Pizza Man takeaway in town and the Old Bank Restuarant in Rothwell, wants to spend around a quarter of a million pounds converting the shop into the venue, which would seat 80 people and create around ten jobs.
He’s applying for planning permission to change the use of the shop on St Mary’s Road, which shut in March after trading for nearly 50 years.
The other businesses would remain open if it goes ahead.
