Opening Hours To Be Cut At Urgent Care Centre On Weekdays

The plan to cut Opening hours over the weekend at the Urgent Care Centre in Market Harborough has been scrapped – although they will be reduced during the week.
NHS bosses had proposed shutting the facility at the St Luke’s Treatment Centre two hours earlier on Saturdays and Sunday at 5pm, but after concerns about a lack of other alternative services being available, have agreed to make no change.
It will however open an hour and a half later Monday to Friday – at 6.30pm.
The East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning group say it isn’t well used during that time period, when GP surgeries are still open.
