Clampdown Starts On Dangerous Parking Outside Schools

A clampdown on dangerous parking outside four schools starts today.
Farndon Fields and Meadowdale Primary Schools in Market Harborough, Lubenham All Saints Primary and The Kibworth School are all part of the move.
New enforceable ‘keep clear’ zones have been created outside enabling parking wardens to issue fixed penalty notices to drivers parking illegally and dangerously.
A camera car will also be used to patrol outside the schools to gain evidence of illegal parking as part of the Leicestershire County Council scheme.
If successful it could be extended to other schools.
