New road markings to be installed on A6 bypass

New road markings are due to be installed on the A6 Rothwell and Desborough bypass later this week following safety concerns.
The white lines have been missing since resurfacing work was completed last month, with temporary signs advising drivers not to overtake while permanent markings were awaited.

However, there have been reports of dangerous overtaking and several near misses.
North Northamptonshire Council says new white lines and reflective road studs will be installed during overnight road closures on Wednesday and Thursday.
