New Council Leader Unveils Cabinet as Priorities Set Out

The new leader of Harborough District Council says his administration will move quickly to deliver on its priorities following the Conservatives taking control of the authority.
Councillor Simon Whelband says the focus will be on tackling fly-tipping, improving street cleanliness and upgrading play areas across the district.
He has also announced plans for a new small grants scheme to support small and micro businesses facing rising costs, alongside changes aimed at giving local councillors more influence over decisions and funding.
