“Summer Drink Drug Drive” campaign extended

Leicestershire Police has announced that it’s to extend its “Summer Drink Drug Drive” campaign – until the end of the World Cup!
The extra two weeks has been added after 66 drivers were arrested across the county over the past month alone – with arrests for drug driving going up by 45%.
The highest breath test reading recorded was 142 – which is over four times the drink drive limit.
Market Harborough’s motorists can now expect random checks across the district to continue until Sunday 15th July.
