Multiple Cars Damaged By Pothole

A number of drivers suffered burst tyres after hitting a large pothole on a road near Desborough yesterday evening.
Police were called to scene on Oakley Road in Pipewell just before 5pm, after up to nine vehicles had been damaged.
Drivers reported blow-outs and buckled wheels.

Police say officers alerted North Northamptonshire Council about the issue.
A council spokesperson said: “We regularly inspect roads across the local area and this particular stretch of road is inspected twice per year.
“The last inspection was carried out in August and no defects were identified at the time.
“Following reports last night, temporary repairs were completed with a further review of the site due to take place today.”
