Fox Rescued From Van Engine Returned To The Wild

A young fox rescued from the engine of a delivery van has been released back into the wild after being cared for at Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital.

The female fox is believed to have climbed into the engine bay to keep warm and was only discovered when an Amazon driver opened the bonnet after a warning light appeared.

Despite her ordeal, the fox escaped serious injury and was treated for minor burns and mange by the Kibworth-based charity, after being initially rescued by the RSPCA.

Staff at the hospital confirmed she recovered well and has now been returned to her natural habitat.
