National Mills Weekend Celebrated In Kibworth Harcourt

National Mills Weekend is being celebrated at the Kibworth Harcourt Windmill.

Dating back to the 18th century, it’s the only surviving post mill in Leicestershire and was restored to its former glory in a major project completed last year.

It is one of hundreds of windmills and watermills opening their doors as part of a celebration of the heritage and history of mills, and the people who care for them today.

Free pre-booked tours are taking place this weekend, led by volunteers who work with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, who own the Grade II-listed windmill located off Langton Road.
