Harborough EV Chargepoint Survey
Written by HFM News on 30th October 2023
Drivers of electric cars are being asked where we’d like to see more public chargers installed in the Harborough District.
Leicestershire County Council is consulting on the locations of hundreds of planned new points in Leicestershire by 2030 – and is inviting us to pinpoint where they should be using an online interactive map on its website.
Latest Government data suggests there are over a thousand pure electric and plugin hybrid vehicles registered across Harborough – but, so far, only around 50 public charging points.
The focus of these installations will be on residential streets and other convenient locations where there is a high proportion of housing without access to private, off-street parking, meaning EV drivers can’t simply charge up at home.
You can have your say on Public Electric Vehicle Chargepoints between now and 30th November 2023 at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/have-your-say/current-engagement/public-electric-vehicle-chargepoints.
