Repairs Underway After Water Leak On A6

Repair work is underway after a water leak on the A6 between Market Harborough and Kibworth.
Severn Trent Water was alerted to the issue earlier today, when drivers reported water pouring out of the verge at the side of the road, but say is not affecting any water supplies.
A spokesperson told HFM: “Our teams are responding to a burst water pipe on the A6 near Kibworth. We are working hard to repair this burst and get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.
“We would like to apologise for any disruption and thank everyone for their patience while we complete this repair.”
The leak on Harborough Road, between the Debdale Lane and Langton Road junctions, is just along the road from where a water main burst last week.
Two-way temporary traffic lights have been put in place, while repair work takes place.
