Harborough Jobs Week Begins
Written by HFM News on 15th May 2023
Harborough Jobs Week begins today with a number of free events happening to help people find employment, a new job or improve their skills.
It will include interview skill workshops at the Symington Building tomorrow (Tuesday) and on Thursday a Job Fair will be held there, with over 20 local employers showcasing their vacancies.
David Wright is head of economy and business at Harborough District Council, which has organised the week:

Voluntary Action Leicester (VAL) will be at the Wycliffe Rooms in Lutterworth on Tuesday 16 May, 1-3pm, to promote their work around volunteering and the Multiply Project in Lutterworth and Blaby to support adults around improving their numeracy skills.
Employers can also get support by attending the ‘Business in the Spotlight: Jobs Week Special event’ at the Harborough Innovation Centre, on Friday 19 May, 10am-noon.
This networking event will highlight the range of free recruitment support available through the local job centre.
Employers will also have the chance to learn how they can become a Disability Confident employer and the benefits of doing so.
