’50’ Fundraisers To Mark Group’s 50th Anniversary

Market Harborough’s Macmillan Cancer Support group is celebrating its 50^th anniversary this year and wants people to get involved to boost its vital work.

With a big fundraising event to mark the milestone not possible due to the pandemic, volunteers want people to hold small events with a ‘50’ theme.

Suggestions include a small coffee morning or tea party for a group of friends or neighbours, a sponsored 50 Laps of a garden/field or even a 50km cycle ride.

Ideally the group would like events to raise at least £50, with all money going towards the charity’s continued support to people living with cancer and their families in the local area.
