Go-Ahead Given For New Apartments

Written by on 10th February 2021

Nine new apartments are set to be built in Market Harborough town centre, after a plan to bulldoze a former vehicle repair centre was approved.

Harborough District Council’s Planning Committee granted planning permission last night, despite over 30 objections from members of the public, mainly around the fact no off-street parking is included in the scheme.

The two-and-a-half storey development is set for the corner of Abbey Street and Fairfield Road.

That decision was taken before a computer glitch forced the virtual meeting, held on-line, to be abandoned.
