Man Taken To Hospital After Head-On Crash

A man was taken to hospital last night after a head on crash between two cars near Lutterworth.
It happened on the A5, close to the roundabout with the A4303, near Magna Park, just before 9pm.
Fire crews had to take the roof off one of the cars involved to free the man.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “One driver wasn’t injured, the other driver was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries do not suggest they are life threatening or life changing.
“East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
“The road was closed and reopened around 11.30pm.”
Fire crews from Lutterworth and Leicester were sent to the incident.
