Foodbank Boosted Thanks To Harborough Firm
Written by HFM News on 4th February 2021
Market Harborough’s Jubilee Foodbank has been given a big boost thanks to town-based company Commerce Utilities.
Staff have donated food and drink worth £150, after wanting to do their bit to help the vital service, which continues to be in great demand.
What’s more, the company will now make similar donations four times a year.
The Foodbank, which is run by volunteers, is helping about 100 people and families suffering food poverty throughout the Market Harborough area every month.
Last year a record 30,000-plus meals were provided, after the level of demand increased during the Covid-19 pandemic.
