Kibworth’s ‘Well-Being Wave’ Promotes Children’s Mental Health Week

It’s Children’s Mental Health week and pictures of colourful young hands have appeared in windows of houses throughout Kibworth.

The ‘Well-Being Wave’ is the idea of three Mums who started the Kibworth Mental Health and Well-Being Fund, and wanted to raise awareness, bring the community together and smiles to people’s faces, like the pictures of Rainbows did last year in support of the NHS.

Children have been encouraged to get a bit of paper, draw around their hand and then fill it in with bright colours or inspirational words.

The idea when youngsters are out walking they can spot them in windows.

The Mums are also working closely with Kibworth Primary School, who are doing lots of well-being activities this week for children who are in school and learning from home.
